GuestOK — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an e/w return actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. These days I punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at football acca calculator — free, no signup.
One thing that genuinely made a difference were the geekier bits. They’ve got an implied probability thing which shows you the overround, and a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. Its layout looks a bit basic — no frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine though the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
